Electrostatic Painting of Machinery in Milwaukee
Thursday, May 23, 2013
I've talked about Electrostatic Painting before on the Lakeside Painting blog, but I feel that it's a subject worth revisiting with more specificity for Milwaukee Area commercial and industrial businesses. It can be used for almost any type of metal, from desks to aluminum windows; but Electrostatic Painting is particularly exciting for industrial machinery.
Coating Industrial Equipment With Electrostatic Paint
As noted before, Electrostatic Painting is a high-tech method of painting metal surfaces and objects, which makes it ideal for industrial machinery. But, how does it work?
The special equipment propels negatively-charged paint at positively-charged metal surfaces or objects. In this way, it has 98% efficiency of coating-to-object, compared to more traditional paints, which are around 70% efficienct. For industrial businesses with a lot of machinery, it's incredibly cost-effective. And the fact that Electrostatic Paint makes the machinery look like new means that businesses won't have to replace machinery.
Other Advantages of Electrostatic Paint
We regularly use Electrostatic Paint on machinery and factory equipment in the Wisconsin and Northern Illinois areas, so we're incredibly familiar with its other advantages.
As industrial facilities well know, it can be impossible or logistically problematic to move machinery and other factory equipment. If it is impossible to move or at least cost-prohibitive, spraying the machinery will create overspray, which can become a concern, especially for those businesses operating in the food and pharmaceutical industries (though it's not limited to these businesses). Electrostatic's 98% coating-to-surface efficiency significantly reduces overspray, saving business a great deal of money in the end.
Another advantage for industrial customers is the quicker turn-around times. It means our painters won't have to stick around any longer than necessary, keeping your industrial business operation running smoothly and efficiently as possible.
