Painter

Basic Function: To safely and efficiently carry out painting and all paint-related duties in order to complete assigned jobs.

Organizational Relationships: Reports to: Foreman, Field Superintendent, Operations Manager. Helps to supervise: Apprentices.

Scope of Responsibility: As delegated by Foreman, Field Superintendent, or Operations Manager. Efficiently carry out paint related duties in a professional, workmanlike manner. Ensure that all duties are completed within the time frame prescribed by the foreman and/or Field Superintendent.

Specialized Knowledge and Experience: Must have a clear understanding of job-site safety, product knowledge, and the ability to perform most tasks needed to complete a job.

Duties and Responsibilities: Arrive to the job or shop in time to start work prior to 7:00 a.m. daily, unless otherwise specified by foreman or supervisor.

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness & organization
  • Possess knowledge of products
  • Must have the ability to follow directions, high motivation, and a positive attitude
  • Have the ability to move and use ladders and power equipment (i.e. sanders, sprayers, ladders up to 32’, etc.) according to the Lakeside Painting Standards & Procedures
  • Have a clear understanding of preparation procedures (i.e. sanding, caulking, sealing, etc.) according to the Lakeside Painting Standards & Procedures
  • Be able to perform all painting functions such as painting windows, doors, soffits, fascia, shutters, etc.
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
  • Be reliable, present good work ethic, high integrity and drug free
  •  Clean presentable appearance expected at all times
  • Attend all safety and training seminars
  • Good technical skills in terms or using hand & power tools
  • Provide your own transportation to the job-site or meet your foreman when possible

Painting Apprentice

Basic Function: To assist with set-up, preparation, maintenance, and clean-up procedures in service to the accomplishments of specific jobs.

Organizational Relationships: Reports to Job Foreman, Field Superintendent, Operations Manager.

Safety: All employees are required to conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times to insure the safety of their customers and themselves, as set forth in the Lakeside Painting, Inc. Safety Manual.

Scope of Responsibility: As delegated by Job Foreman, Field Superintendent, Operations Manager. Efficiently carry out paint related duties in a professional, workmanlike manner. Safety: All employees are required to conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times to insure the safety of their customers and themselves, as set forth in the Lakeside Painting, Inc. Safety Manual.

Scope of Responsibility: As delegated by Job Foreman, Field Superintendent, Operations Manager. Efficiently carry out floor coating and concrete polishing related duties in a professional, workmanlike manner. To carry out tasks within the time frame prescribed by the Job Foreman, Field Superintendent, Operations Manager. Help Painters and Foreman with various tasks throughout the day.

Duties and Responsibilities: Arrive to the job or shop (if requested) in time to start work prior to 7:00 a.m. daily, unless otherwise specified by foreman or supervisor.

  • Must have the ability to follow directions, read and understand material labels which may include safety information, product directions, and/or scope of work.
  • Must have the ability to lead and work cohesively as team
  • Must be able to work on hands and knees for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to prep and prepare concrete for coating applications; epoxy, cementitious urethane, broadcast quartz, flake system, etc..
  • Provide your own transportation to and from the jobsite or meet your foreman when possible
  • Be reliable, present good work ethic, high integrity
  • Demonstrate a professional, can do attitude, who wants to excel in their position
  • Must have the ability to wear a respirator
  • Safety is number one priority, must show safety first and attend all safety meetings
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed
