While wall coverings may be a bit pricier than a standard paint job, in the long run, there are many benefits to installing a residential or commercial wall covering.

Cost Efficiency

While installing a commercial wallcovering is more expensive than just painting your walls, wallcoverings last longer and are easier to maintain than painted walls, so long-term, you will get your money’s worth.

Lakeside Painting also offers a guarantee on all of our residential and industrial projects, so even if something goes wrong, we’ve got you covered.

Versatility

Wall coverings also provide more versatility than standard paint jobs. Of course, you can have a professional painter come out to your location and paint murals and designs on your wall, but a wallcovering will provide a neater, more uniform and professional look.

There are thousands of standard-issue options, but you can also customize your wall coverings to have them look and say whatever you’d like. This way, you can subtly advertise your brand or business by adding logos, slogans, and company colors into your custom wall covering.

Durability

Wall coverings last, on average, five times longer than your standard paint job. This more than makes up for the initial elevated cost of having a wall covering installed. Furthermore, painted walls need to be cleaned regularly in order to retain their appearance. Not so with wall coverings. Commercial wallcoverings seldom need cleaning, and even after years of installation, they can still look like new.

With its durability, versatility, and cost-effectiveness, installing wallcoverings in your home or business is a no-brainer. So how does the installation process work?

Like most things, properly prepping the wall before installing the wall covering is essential for a pleasing end product. Before our painting contractors can apply a covering, they must first fill any holes and cracks with spackling paste. After the holes are filled and the wall is cleaned, a primer should be applied.

As the primer dries, we will measure your walls and cut out the wall covering. An adhesive is then added to the back of the wallcovering and glued onto the wall. A dry paint roller is used to ensure that all air bubbles are removed and that the paper stays firmly in place.

Wall Covering Removal

Like most trends, wallpaper has come full circle, and what was considered a thing of the past is once again fashionable. But perhaps your home or business is still decked out in that dated wall covering that was considered chic decades ago. Or maybe you no longer wish to use wall coverings and just want regular painted walls. Regardless of the case, our professionals will be more than happy to assist you in removing any unwanted wall coverings.
